The beginning of YNS …
YNS was established after Rabbi Yaacov Orimland observed the growing number of bochurim falling through the cracks of the mainstream system, and deteriorating rather than growing spiritually and delving in the Torah. Rabbi Orimland realized that students who did not fit into the “widely accepted mold” deserved a yeshiva that was willing to adapt to them and to their needs. His success in working with these students in an unofficial capacity led him to open YNS.
The Uniqueness of YNS
Rabbi Orimland, fondly known as Rabbi “O”, realized years ago that many mainstream yeshivas were not in touch with the changing needs of many of today’s teens. Numerous distractions inside the home, school, and general surroundings have led many young adults to fall through the cracks. A lack of self confidence begins the downward spiral, with a sense of failure, followed by actual failure.
YNS offers a different approach; there are no “classic shiurim”. YNS’s superb and highly trained faculty custom-builds a schedule to fit the needs of each and every student on his level. This individualized program generates more rapid personal success that is easily recognized by talmid, staff, and family which leads to many more victories and an overall triumph over previous feelings of failure.
After YNS achieves a long-lasting impact on our students we assist them with moving on to the next stage – each individual in his own path. Some of our students completed their high school studies in YNS and then continued on to higher levels of learning. Each individual on his own level…
